Support and education for Neurodivergent families

Family Empowerment Program

Support for transformational change

A parenting guide for neurodiverse families

Between 30% – 40% of Australians are neurodivergent. Why are most parenting supports still written from a neurotypical viewpoint?

Do you ever wish your child came with a personalised guidebook showing you best how to help them?

What if I told you it is possible to navigate the medical and education support systems for your child with ease and get the results you need?

The Family Empowerment Program is the answer

Written specifically for neurodiverse families, the Family Empowerment Program will help you write your family guidebook, support your neurodivergent child without losing other members, and give you the skills you need to confidently advocate for your child at school and in the medical world.

Our three month program includes:

  • Small group (maximum 7 families) or individually tailored program
  • Professional facilitator with lived experience
  • Tools, tips and strategies for raising a thriving neurodiverse family

The Family Empowerment Program helped me to trust my instincts

Patricia’s Family Empowerment Program taught me to be a strong advocate for my children, and has empowered me to confidently speak up about their needs. It helped me trust my instincts about what me and my children need and boosted my confidence in the face of opposition.

My children and I now embrace our neurodiversity and totally accept that even though we may be different from the neuro-typicals, we have many strengths, and it’s OK for us to do things differently.

Meet Patricia Falcetta OAM

Family Empowerment Program Facilitator

Hi there,

I’m a neurodiversity advocate, keynote speaker, and facilitator with lived experience of personal and family neurodiversity. Over a decade ago, when I was first introduced to the term neurodiversity there was no NDIS or school support programs. Neurodiversity was spoken about behind closed doors, not in public forums.

As I navigated the system with a family member, and then later with my personal diagnosis, I felt isolated and unsupported. I decided to build the service I wished I could access. I obtained a diploma, deepened my understanding of neurodiversity, and established Social Living Solutions to coach and support neurodivergent teens and their families.

In my years supporting and coaching neurodivergent teens and young adults I have tested my strategies and seen them work time and time again – reducing stress, building confidence, and helping families find their joy again.

This latest program update is years in the making, accessing the latest research and understandings of neurodiversity.

I can’t wait to share it with you and hear how it helps your family find the harmony and support you need to thrive.

Here’s what Social Living Solutions Clients
have had to say about the program

There needs to be more Patricia’s in the world! We are very grateful that we connected with her. Patricia is so passionate about helping and supporting families and really understands the everyday parenting struggles and challenges. It’s been a huge support having Patricia in our corner. We are gaining more understanding and knowledge of our neurodiverse family and how we can best support our children and each other to see them thrive! Patricia is compassionate, kind and patient and we really look forward to seeing her for our weekly sessions.”

Working through the Family Joy Program (Previous version of the Family Empowerment Program)  with Patricia made a huge difference to us and our family unit. We were really struggling with our neurodiverse son and it was in turn putting pressure on our relationship and our family.

Through working with Patricia we grew to not only be able to support and understand our son better we were also able to gain confidence as advocates for him. Before working with Patricia we felt that we were “asking” too much of the school and were feeling frustrated and overwhelmed.

Upon completion of the program with Patricia we felt relieved almost free in a way. We know stand firm in the belief that we are the best advocates for both our children.

Patricia was recommended to me, and I’m so glad we found her!

Patricia has been taking my husband and I through the “Family Empowerment Program.”

My eight-year-old son has ADHD and it’s been quite challenging. Patricia has taught us a lot of information, learning to understand & manage his behaviour.

I also feel more empowered and compassionate towards him.

I’ve really enjoyed working with her and would not hesitate to highly recommend her to other families.
